Oh yes. She did.
What’d I do now, you ask? Well, what I do best: shop. Even though I’m leaving for my beloved 2nd home of NYC tomorrow. Even though I’ll be shop shop shopping non-stop once I’m there. Apparently, though, I can’t wait just a few more days without swiping the trusty Visa card.
Probably the more memorable of the purchases (other than my new Canon Powershot!) is a gift set of Dolce & Gabbana’s The One perfume. My love of fragrances is no secret, and this was the next on my “to buy” list! The scent if warm and musky, a.k.a. perfect for the winter months! I tell my mom that it smells like the kind of perfume your boyfriend would BEG for you to spray on something if you were to be separated for any length of time!
In other news, I decided to get a little culture this weekend and went to see a local production of the play Barefoot in the Park. I LOVED the film, and the actors in the play did a phenomenal job of internalizing the characters! It was an all-around magnificent production.
Also, the community theatre where I saw the play is going to be doing another favorite of mine: Steel Magnolias! The play is in April, so auditions will be in mid- to late-February. I will DEFINITELY keep you all posted when that time rolls around!
Tomorrow’s schedule: work from 6:30 a.m. to 11, school from noon to 1, and then I’m skipping both my 1 and 2 o’clock classes. Why? Because at 5:30 p.m., my plane departs from Orlando to NYC! I simply adore that city, and will be moving there as soon as I graduate! Some of my plans (other than shopping, duh. We covered this.): visiting my favorite haunts, hopefully maybe possibly probably getting to Candle, seeing NYU’s production of The Merchant of Venice, watching the inflating of the Thanksgiving Day parade balloons on Wednesday night, watching the parade from my cousin’s 4th-floor office on Broadway on Turkey Day, eating dinner in the Gershwin Ballroom (which we reserved for the whole lot of us), and playing the traditional game of football in Central Park. That hopefully does not in any way resemble the Friends Thanksgiving episode.
Can anyone tell me where Dutch people come from?
There are ton of surprises I have in store for my upcoming posts, including a re-cap of my NYC trip and a funny tale of how I “Blair Waldorfed” some poor dope at school. In the parking lot. Horns were involved.
Until then, I hope you all have a tremendous Thanksgiving spent with your loved ones. Also, be thankful!
XO,
Erin
